We are now looking for an engineer in network and cybersecurity who wants to help secure the next generation of industrial solutions in marine and port technology. In this position, you will be part of the Engineering & Development team and work with network and cybersecurity issues throughout the product portfolio. The role is both strategic and operational and involves close collaboration with development, R&D, and engineering teams.

You will, among other things:

• Drive and implement network and cybersecurity initiatives in our products
• Integrate robust security solutions in both hardware and software
• Act as a link between R&D and Engineering to ensure safe and efficient product development
• Collaborate with Release Owners and ABB's global cybersecurity community
• Contribute to the development and transformation of ABB Ports' network and cybersecurity architecture
• Work in a mission-critical environment where reliability, quality, and security are crucial

You will work as an individual contributor and use your technical knowledge to solve complex problems while building a broad understanding of related disciplines.

Qualifications:

• A degree at the bachelor’s or master’s level in computer science, network technology, or cybersecurity
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in networks, IT/OT as a systems engineer, and in project environments
• Good understanding of IT/OT integration, preferably in an industrial or automated environment
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience in automation or industrial control systems
• Knowledge of network architecture, security design, and risk management
• Experience working with both hardware and software from a security perspective
• Swedish language skills or a willingness to learn Swedish

A typical workday may include:

• Collaboration with development teams on security requirements in new products
• Reviewing and improving network and security architecture
• Dialogue with global cybersecurity teams regarding threat landscape and best practices
• Support for projects and releases from a network and security perspective
• Continuous professional development in new technologies and standards

Scope & assignment duration: The position is full-time. The preliminary assignment duration is 5-6 months, with a very good chance of extension for the right person based on needs and performance.
